12 Coat Patterns

	Abyssinian	Coats which are gently shaded, each hair is lighter at the root and darker at the tip.
	Bi-Colour	This pattern varies between the tuxedo cat which is mostly black with a white chest, and possibly markings on the face, paws or legs, all the way to the Van pattern, where the only colored parts of the cat are the tail, and the top of the head.
	Colourpoint	A colourpoint cat has dark colors on the face, ears, feet, and tail, with a lighter version of the same color on the rest of the body, and possibly some white.
	Colourpoint - Tabby	A Colourpoint coat with Tabby markings.
	Solid	Solid colour throughout with no pattern, shading, ticking or any other variation at all in colour.
	Tabby - Classic	The classic blotched tabby pattern is the most common amongst the tabbies.
	Tabby - Mackerel	The striped tabby is a series of vertical stripes down the cats side.
	Tabby - Spotted	Leopard spottod or marble markings.
	Tabby - Ticked	Striped, with a variety of patterns, and consists of butterflies and bullseyes.
	Tipped	Each hair is tipped with a darker or lighter colour.
	Tortie	Also known as the Tabby - Tortoiseshell or the Patched Tabby.
	Tortoiseshell	Also know as a Calico. A Tortoiseshell cat is randomly patched over with red and black mottled throughout the coat. Additionally, the cat may have white spots in its fur.
